Once we receive the Holy Ghost, we have power. We can use this power to control certain spirits, however, we do not have authority over people. If you think, as a child of God, you can pray and order someone to do something against their will, it will not work. Man is a free moral agent and he has to make up his mind that he wants to be free from any bondage or habits he may have. You cannot manipulate men like they’re pieces on a checker board. God’s plan just doesn’t work that way. He could have easily made Adam obey His command and prevented him from being disobedient, but He allowed Adam to make his own choice and of course, he, along with all mankind, had to pay the penalty for his mistake. God will deal with man, impress and move upon man, but He will never make or force him to do anything. This doesn’t mean that we are powerless. Even though we cannot take authority over mankind, as Christians we do possess power to take authority over the spirits of darkness. The world’s problems are caused by these evil spirits and God tells us in His Word, Ephesians 6:11-20, to put on the whole armor of God when we fight with these spirits. As we look at our government, today, we often wonder how and why our officials make such evil and bad decisions, but then we’re reminded that it’s not the officials, but the evil spirits that are dominating them. This does not mean that they are possessed, but simply that they are demon oppressed. They listen to the evil voices that tell them to do things contrary to God’s Word. This is just like those that follow the spirits of lust. The Homosexuals and Lesbians are not evil people, they have simply been deceived. Their fleshly man was stronger than their spirit man in the battle to do good or evil. Their flesh won and they surrendered or yielded to sin. God will deal with them and warn them, but He will not make them depart from their evil ways. They will be punished in the end for their disobedience. Even Christians can be influenced by evil spirits. This is why some churches have problems. Pastors need to fight against the evil spirits that are attached to some of the congregational members instead of being combative against some individuals. Satan likes nothing better than to see churches destroyed by division. If the pulpit is strong and the Pastor is strong in his faith, Satan doesn’t stand a chance. The power that God gives isn’t a weak power, but a mighty and forceful power, greater than anything Satan can bring against a Child of God. We must keep ourselves, prayed-up, read-up and studied-up. It’s the command of God. †
What Will You Do?
God gave Adam authority over all things. Adam chose not to use his authority, but turned it over to Satan. Jesus bought the authority back for us at Calvary. He gave it back to us to help us perform His work here on earth. All Christians have the authority today. We may not be using it, but we possess it. In Luke 10:19 Christ says, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” We must choose, each day, what we will do with this valuable asset we have been entrusted with. We need to use our power to back the spirits that are oppressing those that aren’t strong in the Word of God. †
It Won’t Be Long
We’ve been ministering for many years and we’ve never seen so many so called, “Christians” deceived. We’re not to judge whether they are true Christians or not. That’s between them and God. We can say, without hesitation, that many whom we thought were strong believers are turning out to be wimps when it comes to standing for what’s right. We know it’s going to cause an uproar in the congregation, but we’re going to ask for a definitive definition for two very plain words. Adultery and Fornication. Our understanding of the meanings of these words seem to be very different from most others. During the past few weeks, the Lord has been dealing with me to take a much firmer stand on His word. Society, today, has absolutely no morals. Everything goes! Well, we’re sorry, but God says, “No!” Sin is still sin whether we wish to acknowledge it or not. It’s very plain and simple. You’re not going to be the one judging me on Judgment Day. It’s not going to be your definition that will be used that day. It will be God’s. When you’re having sex outside of your own marriage relationship, you’re either commiting adultery or fornication. Both carry the eternal death penalty. Total separation from the presence of God. Adam and Eve brought this death penalty upon mankind. God forewarned them, but they knew far more than the Creator. Falling into the sin trap of Satan, the curse came upon all mankind. Man had to have a redeemer. Someone to bail him out. Jesus became that person. God made His case perfectly clear. He had his servants write down the rules several times in thee scriptures, so there would be no doubt to the meaning or the interpretation thereof. God clearly states, that if a man or a woman sleeps with or has sex with another’s spouse he or she is committing adultery and or fornication. In Galatians 5:19-21, the Bible says, “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings and such like: as we have told you in times past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.” Here God places adulterer’s, fornicators and murderers all in the same category, declaring that none of them will inherit the Kingdom of God. Satan has lied to and deceived the world into believing they can live as they wish and everything will be fine. Many are saying, “I’m born again, I’m forgiven.” First, if you were born again, you wouldn’t even consider sleeping with someone that’s not your spouse. A born again person follows the Spirit of God and doesn’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. If you find yourself desiring to live in sin, you might want to have a long talk with God. Satan destroyed the morals of the parents of today and now he is working on the children. †
