We meet people, every month, that want a closer walk with the Lord. They want to learn more of His Word, become stronger Christians, have their faith increased and see miracles happen right before their eyes. These same people can’t understand why they aren’t seeing the Hand of God move more in their lives. Let’s start by first seeing who their god is. These people get up on Monday Morning, go to work and most of them work 8-12 hours a day, either at their job or there at home. They come in that evening tired and worn out, eat dinner, take a shower and go to bed. Tuesday is the same and so is Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Now comes the big day, Saturday. Most will get up, eat breakfast and head for town to get their shopping done for the week. They Spend the money they have worked so hard for. They come home and do the work around the house, mowing the grass, painting, cleaning and so forth. They eat dinner, take a shower and go to bed. Sunday Morning comes and they’re up ready to go to church. They get there 30 minutes late and can’t wait for the service to end, so they can get out of their dress clothes they wore to impress their fellow Christians. Sunday Night comes and instead of returning to Church to learn more of God’s Word, they need to rest, because they have a busy Monday ahead of them. These same people can’t understand why other Christians are so blessed, nor understand, why God answers, “yes” to the prayers of others and it seems as though their answers are always, “no”. They are amazed at the knowledge others have of the Word of God. Again, “Who is their god?” Every Christian must get their priorities in order. God has to come first, family comes in second and work finishes third. If this doesn’t work for you, then you’ll never have a full and complete relationship with the Lord. God and Church are inseparable. We attend Church to worship and praise our Lord, Jesus Christ, as well as read, study and learn more of His Word. These same people that spend 40-60 hours a week, earning money for worldly goods, will barely spend 3 hours a week for the Lord and they wonder why their prayers aren’t answered. A marriage cannot work without communication and neither will your relationship with the Lord. †
Knowing That He Knows You
It seems that a day can’t go by without the Lord reminding us that it’s not what man thinks or says, but it’s what God knows that counts. Over the years, we’ve sometimes questioned the Lord as to why He chose us and we’ve asked Him, “Why won’t people accept the true Word of God?” Each time, God has replied, “They don’t know My Word and therefore, they will not accept anything that’s contrary to their sinful lifestyles.” Now let us make one thing clear, we’re not talking about the sinners, they listen, they fall under conviction, they repent and they get saved. It’s the so called “religious sector” that seem to come against everything we try to do. Preacher Bibey had spoke with his wife Debbie one day and told her the only peace he got was knowing that everything he had ever preached had come from the Lord. We know Him, but more importantly, He knows us. The Apostle Paul tells us his story in Galatians 4:14-16. When he first came preaching they received him as an Angel of God. (Verse 14) He goes on to say that if it had been possible, they would have even plucked out their own eyes and given them to him. (Verse 15) Then, in Verse 16, he asked them the question, “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” It’s sad to say, but we see the same thing happening today. A man that preaches the truth is the greatest person around, until he touches on a sin that you are guilty of, then he becomes an enemy. Why can’t people just accept the guilt and repent? It would make life so much easier. When you know Him and know that He knows you, you’ll have peace that man cannot take from you. Christians, never fear if you find yourselves standing on the battlefield alone. If you will look closely with your spiritual eyes, you’ll see Jesus standing right by your side. When it seems as though all have forsaken you, you’ll always have Jesus. We know this for a fact. He’s our strength. †
What Is A True Church?
We are living in a time when churches are popping up everywhere. It seems as though everyone is being called by God to preach. Could this actually be happening? I think not. We’re not to judge, but according to the Word of God there’s only one Gospel and what we hear coming from some of these preachers is not the Gospel we’ve been taught by the Holy Ghost. So, how do we distinguish a true church? The Bible tells us we shall know a tree by the fruit it bears. We believe the same is true of a church. If repentance, the Blood of Jesus, the Cross, love and obedience to God’s Word is being preached and souls are being saved, then, chances are it is a genuine church. It’s so sad to see Brothers and Sisters in Christ being deceived by the cares of the flesh. A spirit has been loosed in these last days and it’s enticing those that have itching ears. It brings a message of relaxation, comfort, peace and joy. It massages until it gets you totally relaxed and off guard, then it strikes like a deadly viper. This same serpent is establishing churches all throughout the land. People are looking for hope and he’s offering exactly what their ears want to hear. The only problem is, he’s giving them false hope. All through the New Testament the writers tell us of perilous times that we must face. Friends, we are living in these times and we must know the Word of God if we are to stand. It doesn’t matter what David Bibey says and it doesn’t matter what any other preacher says. What does matter is what the Word of God says. How will you know if a man is telling the truth if you, yourself, don’t know the truth? God instructed Preacher Bibey many, many years ago to record every message he preached and if any man or woman disputed his preaching to take the recording and open the Bible and have them show him where he was wrong. We now have thousands of recordings and thousands of hours of preaching’s and teachings of God’s Holy Word. †
