Are you trusting in what God’s Word promises you? Too many want to see the results manifest before they will believe. They say, “Show me and I’ll believe.” God says, “Believe and I’ll show you.” We can’t look in the natural and be obedient to God. In II Corinthians 5:7 it says, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” Sight is a natural sense that most people possess. We use our vision to maneuver our natural bodies. In order to please God, we must walk by blind faith. God’s Word promises these blessings to those, that are His Children. Therefore, we simply claim our ownership to all the promises the Lord God Jehovah has made us through His Holy Word. We don’t look back, but we keep pressing forward until we receive our blessings. Lets look at Abraham’s faith. In the natural, it would be reasonable to make the statement that a 99 year old man and a 90 year old woman could not have children, but when God says, “Yes” who is he that can say, “No.” God had told Abraham that he would be the father of many nations and that he and his wife Sarah would have a son. Abraham didn’t question God, he just believed and later Isaac came. †
What Is Faith?
In Hebrews 11:1 it says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” When one counts something done, before God acts upon it, it pleases God and compels Him to move on their behalf. Faith changes one’s hope into reality. When your fleshly mind says, “With God all things are possible,” this is when we have to follow the Word of God and claim our victory. Faith calls those things that are not, as though they were. Faith gives substance to things not seen. Heart Faith believes the Word of God and acts upon it regardless of what the evidence may be. †
Two Kinds Of Faith
In Galatians 3:29, the Bible speaks of us being Abraham’s seed if we are saved. Because we are Abraham’s seed, we should be able to receive all of the blessings promised to him. Since we belong to Christ, we are heirs and therefore we are to receive all promises made to Abraham, because we know God is not a respecter of persons. We have to use the faith that Abraham used to receive our blessings. Abraham walked with blind faith, doubting nothing. Now, there’s another type of faith we will refer to as doubting Thomas’ faith. Thomas had to see it or he would not believe it. God doesn’t operate on this type faith. Abraham’s faith is Spiritual and Thomas’ faith is natural or fleshly. Today, we have too many people trying to get Abraham’s blessings by using Thomas’ faith. Millions of people are walking around believing they are saved, when they only feel good about the lifestyle they’re living. Some say, “Well I don’t do this and I don’t do that, so I believe the good Lord knows me and everything will be alright.” Just because a person feels like they are saved, doesn’t mean they are saved. They’re trusting their fleshly feelings, instead of God’s Word. The same is true for man’s healing. People fail to receive their healings simply because they go by their feelings and not by faith. We may still have the same symptoms of sickness after we have prayed, but we must trust God and believe His Word that we were healed and we are healed by the stripes that Christ bore at Calvary. Too many people run to the doctors, because they’re using Thomas’ faith to expect an Abraham healing. We have to believe with out any doubt in order to move God. Our Spirit Man lives inside the body of the natural man. When Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” One must believe with the heart, which is believing with the Spirit Man, that lives on the inside of the natural body. Real faith in God means, you are exercising your heart faith in God’s Word. You’re not going by your feelings, but you’re trusting in what God’s Word promises you. †
Spiritual Warfare
All Christians, reading this news letter must understand, that if they are serving God in any way, they are in a battle. Some, may have not yet entered into the war zone, but be sure of one thing, they will. This is why Paul tells us in Ephesians 6, that we are to put on the whole armor of God. We need to understand, that every day is a battle and we must be prepared to move to the front lines. You are either fighting for Christ or you are fighting against Him. Some might say, “I’m doing nothing,” that’s the same as fighting against Him, because if you’re doing nothing, it seems as though, you’re ashamed to acknowledge that you’re a Christian and you’re not building the Kingdom by winning souls. God called us to warn people and to win the lost to Christ. If you will look at all that’s going on, you will see that we are not moving forward, but this world is moving backward. Jesus tells us in Matthew 24:37-39, “But as the days of Noe were, so shall the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark.” The world is moving backwards to the same era as it was in Noah’s day. People are sinning worse than ever and very few are looking for Christ to come. Today, people have no morals, their marriage vows mean absolutely nothing. They will marry today and divorce tomorrow. The devil has millions deceived into believing that sin is alright. Live while you can and don’t worry about tomorrow. We need to warn them. †
