God gives us a sound mind and we’re to use our gift, common sense, when making requests and decisions. In II Timothy 1:7 the Bible says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” You don’t need anyone to tell you right from wrong, you already know the difference. When it comes to declaring victory over your family, finances or situation, you have been given the authority, by Jesus, to claim your victory. To many “Christians” are listening to Satan, as he tells them there is no hope. We have to use our brain and know that we can and must bind the enemy. You have been chosen to receive special power, because God chose you to be His Child. The Bible says, “Many are called, but few are chosen.” Be thankful. †
The Power
Where is the power of God? Jesus tells us in God’s Word in Matthew 28:18, “That all power is given to Him.” He told his disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until they were endued with power. He tells us in Acts 1:8, “That we shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon us.” He tells us in Luke 10:19, “That He gives us power over all the enemy and that nothing shall hurt us.” We ask again, “Where is the power of God?” We know when Jesus promises us something, He cannot lie and therefore He will do that, which He promises. We, “Christians” are still wondering, why some requests seem to be answered quickly, when other requests seem as though they were never asked. We are to praise the Lord, when we pray and we’re to Thank Him, in advance, for hearing and answering our prayers and meeting our needs. †
Faith
Where is our Faith? All of us at one time or another have faced serious problems or troubles in our lives. We as, “Christians,” should not allow these difficulties to beat us down. It doesn’t matter what you’re facing, our God is bigger than your problem. God allows certain things to happen in our lives to see how we’re going to handle them, but He doesn’t want us to roll over and allow the problem to grow and beat us down. This is why He guarantees us in His Word that we are victorious in all things, when we believe. All through the New Testament, Jesus promises us, that we are given power to speak to the problem and it shall go away. All we have to do is exercise our faith. Sadly, the Christians and churches, today, are not teaching or practicing these scriptures. How sad this must make our Creator. We must exercise our faith and defeat Satan as he tries to tear us down. In John 10:10 Jesus says, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” The devil is come to steal our joy, which is our strength. This is to weaken our Christian walk, beat us down, so we can’t fight back as we usually would. Then he is come to kill our faith, this is to weaken us also, for without faith it’s impossible to please God. The devil does all of this to destroy our relationship with God. He comes to steal, kill and destroy, but Jesus promises us that He will give us life, which is more powerful than anything the devil can throw at us. We must use the tools that God has already given us to be victorious. Jesus, never planned for us to be defeated, but He wants us to walk all over the enemy. He tells us in I Peter 4:12-13, “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.” We know the battles are coming, so we need to rejoice, because we are His Children. God is going to “try” us to see what we do and how we will handle the test. Do we give the battle to Jesus or do we try to fight it alone? The right answer is to give it to Jesus and let Him fight it. Jesus desires for us to allow Him to take care of us, remember, we’re God’s Children and joint heirs with Jesus. He is our elder Brother. Let’s trust Him to fight for us. He is stronger and He’s almighty. †
Talking To The Master
When was the last time you really had a long serious talk with your Father? We’re not talking about a small prayer asking for a special need, but a long praise time thanking The Lord for all He has done in your life. Jesus tells us to talk to the Father in His name in, John 16:23-24, this is New Testament and we live under these rules and commands. Anytime Jesus or God is commanding His disciples to do anything, He’s commanding us. Why? Because we are his disciples also. Anyone that believes and follows Jesus is His disciple. This is why we can have eternal life with Him, because we are called unto repentance and we are adopted into His family. God desires to talk with you on a personal basis. He wants to be a great parent to you and have that personal relationship with you. If your natural Dad only showed attention to one of his children, it would upset you and you wouldn’t like it. God isn’t a respecter of persons, He lovesyou just as much as He loves any of His Children. Take time, today, to forget all of your problems and cares and just talk with your Heavenly Father. Tell Him how thankful you are that He chose you. Remember, he’s waiting for you to speak to Him. †
