2020 Issue 5 “Why Do People Not Believe?”

Millions of people, all around the world, believe in Jesus Christ. There are thousands of Churches everywhere and preachers are preaching about salvation everyday and people still will not repent and be saved. God knows what He’s doing and that makes our Salvation that much sweeter. We’re so special, because first of all, God chose us to be part of His family. Secondly, we accepted, repented of our sins, were saved and sealed by the Holy Ghost of promise. Read what the Bible says in John 15:16, Ephesians 2:8 and Ephesians 1:13 and 4:30. We are so blessed. I wish everyone could see and feel the things we have seen and felt in our life time. †

God Still Answers Prayers

I know God still heals, saves, mends and delivers through Jesus Christ. However, He still blesses His Children with their, “Wants” and Needs. That’s right, God still gives us the desires of our heart, when we truly believe that He can and will. As most, reading this letter know, I’m not a prosperity Preacher. I know that God blesses His Children, but many preachers, proclaim, You must give to receive your blessings. This is partial truth, but God really wants us to be obedient. God tells us in, The Old Testament in Malachi 3:10 to pay our Tithes and to prove Him, “See if He is truthful.” He promises to open Heaven and pour you out a blessing that you can’t contain. There’s a sevenfold blessing for you and I in this act of obedience. You must remember what God said in Malachi 3:6, He tells us in “For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.” I don’t know about you, but I’ve been adopted into the family of God, which means, I was called by the promise made to Isaac and therefore, I’m a son of Jacob and all of God’s promises are to me also.

I’m an heir to God’s Throne and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. In the New Testament, it tells us in Luke 6:38, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together and running over, shall men give into your bosom.” The Bible also tells us, in Mark 11:24, “Therefore, I say unto you, What things soever ye “desire,” when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” How plain can you get? He tells us that if we believe, which is a form of obedience, we can have the desires of our heart. Many people, today, are living in poverty, simply because they will not trust God to do that which He has promised. †

Where Do We Go From Here?

As we venture into this new year, where do we go and what will we do for Jesus this year? You know that it’s always up to us to make the right decisions. The Bible tells us to choose, this day, whom we will serve. You need to make a decision, right now, as to what you’re going to do this year. †

One Of My Many Journeys To Haiti

It was about 6:00 in the morning, when I woke up. I got dressed and was ready to go tell everyone about Jesus. I was in a motel in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, which is the capital of that country. My ride was a four wheel drive SUV that I had rented at the airport. It was nothing to write home about. I had a cup of coffee and was off to pick up my interpreter, “Joseph.” After finding him, we started down the road that led to The Dominican Republic. As we rode along, I was praying for the Lord to guide me and show me where I was to go. We were riding along and I saw a small wet dirt road on the right side of the highway. I quickly turned and off we went. The road was very wet and slippery, I guess it had rained there that night. We traveled for several miles and came to a fork in the road, we turned to the right, this is what I felt we were to do.

This was how I traveled always, trusting God to direct me. We passed through several villages before coming to a small village, where I felt we where suppose to be. We got out of the vehicle and took a portable amplifier and two microphones. I had purchased this outfit in the USA for mission work. The system ran on 8 D cell batteries and was very powerful. The eight batteries would last about three days of continued use. It was great! I asked Joseph to start singing a Gospel song to get the peoples attention. About the time Joseph began to sing, a little lady came out of the village with a corn-cob pipe in her mouth. She was very loud, shouting something in Haitian. I asked Joseph what she was saying and he informed me, that she was the high voo-doo priest in the area and she wanted us to leave. It was late morning and we came on a mission, so I wasn’t about to leave, because she asked me to. I started to preach about the love that Jesus had for all the Haitian people and how He had died on the Cross, was resurrected, so they could live with Him forever. I explained how they must repent of their sins and be saved.

The entire time that I was preaching, the voo-doo lady was walking around the area, shouting to the top of her voice, trying to disrupt what I was saying. I guess about 40 or 50 people had come out of the village to see what was going on and to listen to our message. As I closed the service, I gave an altar call. I waited for just a moment and the very first person that came forth was the voo-doo priest. She fell to the ground on her knees and told Joseph that she wanted to be saved. She had felt something that she had never felt before and she knew it was more powerful than he voo-doo god. As she came forth, others came also, they were waiting to see what their priest did. I don’t know if any were sincere about their salvation or not, but the gospel was preached and God said, His Word would not return to Him void. Just as we finished, a policeman rode up on a bicycle. He was out of breath from riding so far and so hard. He asked if we were alright and began to tell us that this was a very bad area. He had seen where we left the main highway and turned down the dirt road. He wanted to check on us. †
