2020 Volume 30 Issue 6 “The Spirit of Faith”

We have learned after the death of Moses, God gave Joshua leadership and commanded him to go into the Land of Canaan and posses it. God promises JOshua that He would deliver the enemy into his hand. The Lord kept His promise and Joshua won all his battles. God also made this promise to Judah and Judah went forth conquering every city and every army. In judges 1:19 the Bible says, “And the Lord was with Judah; and He drave out the inhabitants of the mountains; but ould not drive out th inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.” Judah was doing fine until the enemy placed something before him they had never faced before. This is the way it is today with most Christians. We can believe the Lord and go forth with our eyes on Jesus, until the enemy places something in front of us to cause doubt. Judah probably saw the iron chariots and knew his arrows could not penetrate the metal, nor set them on fire. Fear and doubt had come upon him. God cannot and will not honor doubt and unbelief. We Christians, cannot look in the natural. We must walk by Faith, not by sight. This statement is much easier said than done, but it’s the Gospel. We sometimes catch ourselves doubting and things get harder and harder, but we have to realize the Lord has made us a promise, doubt leaves and things get better. We have to read God’s Word and believe God’s Word in order to be victorious , just because the enemy shows up with iton chariots doesn’t mean that God can’t destroy them. Just as He caused the Red Sea to open and swallow Pharoah and the earth to open up and swallow Korah, He could have done the same wit the army and chariots of iron. When we place our success in our own abilities, we are certainly doomed to fail. Christians, please never give in or give up, just believe the Word of God.

Believing

Today, the Spirit of Faith is lacking in the body of Christ everywhere. Many proclaim to have it, but few use it. In the Book of Numbers, Chapter 13 and verse 30, we find that Caleb had unshakeable Faith. He didn’t doubt for a second that they could have what the Lord has promised them. He had the Spirit of Faith with him that day. In Chapter 14 verse 24, the Lord tells us of the Spirit. The Word says, that he had “Another Spirit”. Ten of the spies had a spirit of doubt, fear and unbelief. Only Caleb and Joshua had the Spirit of Faith. As we travel through the Bible, we find that David had the same Spirit of Faith as he prayed three times a day and was cast into the den of lions. All throughout the Bible, we find this, “Other Spirit” and I know that this is what the Lord wants us to have know. We need more preachers and congregational members with the Spirit of Faith on them. We shouldn’t question God’s abiity to do anything at any time. When He says in His Word, He will do something for us or give us our desires, we should take Him at His Word and thank Him. We should never look in the natural or allow doubt, fear or unbelief to enter our minds or hearts.

Things of the World

First John 2:15 clearly states, “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” There’s too much of the world coming into the churches and the so called, men of God, aren’t taking a stand agaisnt it. We have the so called “Money Ministries” where the preachers are trying to sell God’s Blessings, Healings and Miracles. These Ministries are no more than synagogues of satan. Outlets for false hope, dreams and lies. People by the thousands are falling into these traps. God’s Blessings are not for sale, neither are His Healings or Miracles. They come through FAITH. You ask, believe and obey. Then we have the, “Entertainment Ministries.” They are only interested in amusing and pleasing everyone that attends. They bring in performers, pay large sums of money for big name groups to sing and draw the crowds in. Entertainment is for the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and not for motivational speaking. Darkness is covering the earth and especially the people. Churches need to turn on the “Light of Christ” and allow Him to shine as a Lighthouse.

Sinner’s Prayer

If the Holy Ghost has placed you under conviction , you fear of going to Hell, you need to repent and ask Jesus to come into your heart.
