2021 Volume 30 Issue 11 “A Word From God”

God speaks to His children and says, “My Children that have been obedient will see things that they have desired to see and My Children that have been disobedient will see things that they do not want to see.” Then He allows blessings to come down from Heaven and be poured out upon His Children, those that have bee loyal serving Him. Those that attend services regularly, pay their tithes when due and participate in all events of outreaches the Church has. These Christians are receiving blessings that they have been praying and asking the Lord for. Then, there are those Christians that are truly saved, but only serve God when it’s convenient for  them. These, Children of God, are losing things they have worked for all their lives. Parents losing children, children losing parents, people losing their jobs, prized possession, land, homes, automobiles and such. God will get the attention of His Children one way or the other. The key word is, “Children.” These are not the lost that have not accepted Christ as their Saviour. These are those that us Christ as a life preserver. They only put Him on when they are sinking and really need help. All through the Bible the Word tells us, that we are going to have battles, but we must trust Jesus every day of our lives to carry us through. He tells us in Luke 10:3, “Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as Lambs among wolves.” This indicates that we must trust Him to strengthen us to overcome all problems that we might face. Christians are being fought, today, more than ever before. The wolves are raging and coming at us from all sides. This is why we must put on the Whole Armor of God before leaving home. Many Christians have fallen prey to indebtedness. Many households owe far more than they earn, placing them in bondage to their jobs. Therefore, they’re more interested in their work than serving their Saviour. Most people crawl out of bed, during the week, at 5, 6, 7, AM etc. to go to a job they truly don’t like, but when Sunday morning comes, they will not get up at 9 AM to go worship the God that has given them  life and watched over their household and family all week. God is going to get their attention and announce His power to them. All God wants, is for us to praise and worship Him daily. We had better put God before self.

Honoring the Flesh and Blood

We are talking about man’s flesh and blood, our Jesus’. Far too long man has quoted, “By His stripes we are healed.” We seem to forget why He took those stripes. We need to understand the beating that Jesus took, the pain He suffered, the bruising that His body went through, so we could be healthy. Jesus not only wanted us to have eternal life with Him, but He also wanted us to be healthy while we are here on this earth. He took the hurt and the pain, so that we would not have to. We need to reverence this every time we take communion. The Bible goes on to tell us how precious Christ’s blood is. The Word says, in Hebrews 9:22, “And almost all things are by law purged with blood; and without shedding is no remission.” Jesus had to be offered as a sacrifice for our sins, so when He tells us to take of His blood and remember that He shed it, so that we wouldn’t have to shed ours, but we could have eternal life with Him through His blood. In Luke 22:19, “This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.” We know for a fact that God’s Word is truth.

House of Prayer

We believe that it’s the devil’s desire to take away the true purpose of the Church. Christ said, in Matthew 21:13, “My house shall be called a house of prayer.” We know that we have been slack, over the years, to understand the true purpose of the Church. The House of Prayer pretty plain and simple to understand. We have Churches, in this community that feel are nothing more than circus arenas, no let’s rephrase that statement. We have buildings, in this community, that have the name, “Church” on a sign out front that are nothing more than community gathering social centers.  Christ and Paul teach in the Word, to pray always without ceasing. Prayer is a very important part of a Christians’s life. Church is a place where one should be able to get away from the worldly distractions. The Sanctuary should be exactly that. It should be a Sanctuary for the righteous. A place where evil, danger or harm are not allowed. It is suppose to be a place where one can focus and meditate on the Lord. The House of Prayer should be a place where one can offer thanksgiving praise to their provider. The Bible tells us to enter the gates with thanksgiving and enter the courts with praise. God teaches us in the Old and the New Testament, that we must be totally obedient to His Word. His House must be House of Prayer, Praise and Worship, not a community gathering social club. How many Churches welcome and allow the Holy Spirit to take over and control the services? We should always allow and welcome the Holy Spirit to move in each service. Until the House of Prayer is cleansed, we cannot receive the blessings the Lord has for us. This is the main reason Churches are not seeing the miracles that should be taking place.
