2022 Volume 31 Issue 04 “The Farmer”

The Farmer

There are farmers all over the world.  We have many different types of farmers here locally and throughout the country.  We have the household gardeners that will plant a few plants around their home, just to have some fresh vegetables.  Then, we have the small farmers that will plant their little gardens to supply their families fresh vegetables throughout the year.  We also have larger farmers that plant their crops to not only supply their needs, but they sell their surplus to the local markets for others to purchase.  Then we have the commercial farmers that plant huge crops to supply nations around the world with the food they need.  There are many people that don’t know how to prepare a place to plant the seeds and they do not know how to take care of the plants to produce the foods.  Farming is a lot like preaching.  Some know absolutely nothing about preaching God’s Word, but God chooses some to preach to their families.  God chooses some to preach to their communities, states and nation.  God also chooses some men to reach out into all the world to feed His Children with His Word of truth.  We that are called, must know how to prepare the soil for planting the seed of the gospel.  Then we must know how, where and when to sow the seed.  We must water and nurture the plants to bring forth fruit.  Just as the natural man needs natural food to grow strong and healthy, our spiritual man needs God’s Holy Word to be strengthened.  God has placed each one of us here for a reason.  In I Corinthians 3:5-9 Paul tells us these words,  5. “Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?  6. I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.  7. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.  8. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one:  ( Meaning that Paul and Apollos were the same in their doctrine, beliefs, labor, design, spirit and service ) and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.  9. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.”  You and I are of the same Spirit, beliefs, labor and service, because you are a very valuable part of this Ministry.  Some of you are Ministry outreaches, because you’re constantly telling others to watch our telecasts.  Some are persistent prayer warriors, praying for the Ministry everyday.  Others are Harvest Partners that support our outreaches every month with your gifts and love offerings.  Paul was explaining that it didn’t make any difference who sowed the seed or who came along and watered the seed, neither could bring forth fruit from the plant.  Only god can produce the fruit.  He went on to say,  that the one that sows and the one that waters are one and each will share in the rewards given for their labor.  We tell you this, because we are all one laboring together to win souls.  Your part is just as important as the one that sows and/or the one that waters.  When you send in a love gift, it’s added to the love gifts from others, which allows us to preach to millions each week.  Some may have never heard the Word and are saved immediately.  We all receive our rewards here and in Heaven.  Some may have had the seed sown into their minds, but it hasn’t taken root in their heart.  Our telecast waters their seed and brings forth new life.  We each share in the rewards.  Our telecast may sow seed in many and God will send someone else by to water the seed.  We all share in the rewards.  This is what we’ve been trying to get all of our followers to understand.  We are laying up thousands of treasures in Heaven, month after month and many of you are also getting your rewards, but there are also many that aren’t.  Some just cannot grasp God’s Law on sowing and reaping.  The Scriptures clearly state in 2 Corinthians 9:6-9,  “But this I say, He that soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly;” and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”  We truly don’t know how anyone could make, “God’s Law” any more plain than this.  If you don’t sow period, you don’t reap.  If you sow a small amount, you will reap a small bounty or ( harvest ).  However, the Word of god says, “And he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully”.  Now the Bible continues to say that we must give willingly, not grudgingly and not to receive a reward for doing so.  We give, because we care for others, not wanting anyone to go to hell.  In Verse 8, we learn, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to very good work: 9. ( As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness forever.”  God will never forget what we do and why we do it.

Bible Verse of the Day

For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
