2021 Volume 30 Issue 9 “Walking Through the Valley”

Many of you may be walking through a valley at some point in your life or maybe you’re in a valley now. It’s not a pleasant place to be, but it’s a place of learning and growing. One of the greatest problems people have when they find themselves in a valley, they allow fear to come upon them. People usually refer to being in a valley, when things are not going well according to their standards. Fear represents doubt and unbelief, which are two things, we Christians, should never allow to come upon us, not even near our thoughts. The Psalmist David, wrote, “Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” David knew what it was like to be in a valley, but he also knew that he was never alone. He knew his Lord was always there with him to protect him from evil. As Christians, we must always remember God’s Word and we truly have to place our total trust in it. Paul reminds us of what Jesus said, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”  Hebrews 13:5, Christ, Himself, tells us in Matthew 28:18, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world.” When we place our trust in these words, whom shall we fear?  When you have the King of Kings standing with you and protecting you, why should you fear any evil in the universe? In the valley is where the most fertile soil is. It’s in the valley where prime fruits and the crops are harvested. God allows us to walk in the valley for a season. That’s where we learn to place our trust in Him. The valley is a place for us to grow spiritually and learn to produce fruit. It’s a place where we overcome the fears that satan will try to bring upon us. When we’re down in the valley, the only way to look is up. When we trust in the Lord, He promises to bring us out of the valleys we go through and set our feet on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. With Him, we have no fear.

VENGEANCE OF THE LORD

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He that sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn.” Jesus is speaking through the prophet Isaiah telling us of His  first and second coming. Verse one of Isaiah, he tells us of his anointing to preach and he tells us that his anointing came from the Father. Today, man needs to understand that only God can anoint His chosen to do His will. Jesus, then, goes on to tell what he is to preach, Good Tidings. He would be delivering good news to the meek. He would be announcing a new beginning. The arrival of the Messiah. The Sacrifice that would set the world free from the bondage of the devil forever. All one would need to do, is accept this great Sacrifice. He then proclaims he was sent to bind up or to mend the hearts of those that were about to give up. Those that had just about lost all hope. He was coming to proclaim liberty, “Freedom” to those the devil had bound and he foretold of his miraculous trip to paradise to open the prison doors that held all the saints of God. Not only did Jesus come to to set those free that were oppressed, depressed and possessed by the devil, but He came to release those that had died righteous. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and David and all the rest of those that had died before He came to the earth the first time. These Saints were held captive in a compartment in the lower part of the earth called, in the Bible, “Abraham’s Bosom”. You can find this in Luke 16. In Ephesians 4:7-11, the Word tells us, that Jesus first descended into the lower parts of the earth to bring the captives out of the prison they were in. He led captivity captive and brought them up unto the new paradise in heaven. That day, He took the keys to the gates of hell away from satan and proclaimed that those gates would never prevail against His church again. verse two of Isaiah, has not been fulfilled as Verse one has. The proclamation of the year and day of vengeance comes at the Rapture of the Body of Christ. God’s vengeance comes during the Great Tribulation period as He pours out His wrath upon the wicked and non-believers and the Day of the Lord is the thousand year millennial reign. This will be the time that He comforts all that mourn. We are living in a exciting time. Christ has come the first time and He has promised us that He will come again. The signs of the times are everywhere. We see all the events of the Scriptures being fulfilled right before our eyes. We need to make sure we and all our loved ones are ready.

SINNER’S PRAYER

If the Holy Ghost has placed you under conviction, you fear of going to hell, you need to repent and ask Jesus to come into your heart. Please repeat: Father God, I’m a sinner, please forgive my sins. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is your Son and I believe in my heart You raised Him from the dead. I ask Jesus to come into my heart and be my Saviour and to write my name in the Lamb’s book of life. For I ask this in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
