2021 Volume 30 Issue 16 “Blood Covenant”

The more we look at things going on in this mixed up society, the more we praise the Lord for the Covenant He made with us. The New Testament is the Covenant and it’s actually a contract between God and man. It contains the things God requires of us during our lives here on this earth, as well as, the promises He makes to us. When we enter this Covenant or Agreement with God, we agree to it’s terms. When we make a purchase, we enter a contract with the lender. We chose the bank or financial institution we wish to deal with. The contract or covenant we enter, will have the terms and conditions of the agreement. The contract stipulates that, as long as we, the borrower, make our payments on ti me, we will have no problems from the lender, but if we don’t we will be penalized. God sent His only begotten Son, to this earth, to make a covenant with mankind. The agreement is very plain and simple. Mankind was condemned to death, because of the sin curse from the Garden of Eden. The agreement states that Jesus has paid the sin debt for all by shedding His Blood on the Cross and  becoming the ultimate sacrifice for all mankind. God agrees to offer this covenant to all of His people. God promises eternal life to those that repent of their sins, accept the finished sacrifice of Jesus and invite Him to become their Saviour. This covenant is activated by total faith and is signed by the Blood of Jesus. God will hold up His end of the agreement throughout all ages.

The Thing

What is the thing? “The Thing” can be anything we fear. In Job 3:25, we find Job confesses his fear. “For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” Job was the greatest of all men in the East. Meaning his riches and substance was above all. Job had 10 children, 7 sons and 3 daughters. Job feared for his family. In Chapter 1, Verse 5, each day, he offered burnt offerings according to the number of them and said, “It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” He feared for his family and evidently had other fears also. Even though Job feared the Lord and wanted to serve him completely, he allowed the enemy to place another type of fear in his life. We have to be careful of what we allow to come into our minds and that which we speak with our mouths. Many times we confess our fears and this opens the door for Satan to make his move. We h ave to remember who we are in Jesus. We may not understand why things happen, but we are not to question God’s plan. YOU still may not understand your part in His mighty plan, but He has a purpose for you and your life. Some feel that they are not eloquent or have enough education for God to use them, but they are terribly mistaken. You have exactly what you need to do that which the Lord has ordained you to do. There may only be one person on earth that you are to speak to, smile at or show love to. Maybe you are to tell someone that Jesus died for them or maybe you are to invite someone to church. No matter what you are to do, God has already made the necessary preparations in your life for you  to accomplish it. Job passed his test and even though he became discouraged, he still praised God. As children of God,, we had better be confessing victory, health, happiness and success with every breath.

One Nation Under _ _ _?

When we were growing up, we would stand proudly and say the pledge of allegiance to our great American Flag. Everyone was proud to say, “One Nation under God,” because we were one of the few nations in the entire world that stood on Christian principles. We were a strong Christian Nation founded on Christian morals. Our forefathers made it clear that we should place all our decisions before God in  prayer. It saddens us to see where this country has gone in the past few years.  We have stood by and watched the devil’s children pass laws legalizing the murders of millions of children. We have kept silent as they marched int he streets demanding legal rights to sodomize this country.  We have watched Satan’s children tear the Ten Commandments off the walls of our Nation’s Buildings and have said nothing. We have silently stood by as they are outlawing the use of the name of Jesus or God in all of our schools. We tell our Christian friends, “Look up for our redemption draweth nigh.” God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to shed His Blood and die for our sins.
