Meet the Bishop

Bishop Daniel, Pastor of Philadelphia Ministries, Intl., located in Harvey, Louisiana has been pastoring for nearly 40 years. A native of Georgia, Bishop Daniel studied Art education at Savannah State College in Georgia. He also studied Business management at Northwest Institute in Midland, MI. Recognizing and nurturing the call upon his life, Bishop Daniel received his formal biblical training from Friends International University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in biblical studies. He also holds honorary doctorate degrees from Tuskegee Bible Institute and Aenon Bible College. Bishop Daniel also holds licensure for Real-estate and Life Insurance in the State of Louisiana.

In addition to serving in various capacities of leadership throughout the years, Bishop Daniel has served as the former president of the Louisiana District Council young people union and he has served on the Board of Directors for Aenon Bible College which is the educational arm of the Pentecostal assemblies of the world. He currently holds several integral positions within the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World as the President of “Seed Churches Agency” and he is the 27th Episcopal Diocesan Bishop of the Louisiana District Council. Bishop Daniel is the recipient of numerous honors and recognition for his work and efforts in serving the community throughout the years.

He has been married to his college sweetheart Janette G. Daniel for over 43 years. As a result of their union, they share four Loving daughters and two son-in-law’s, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

As the pastor and visionary of Philadelphia Ministries, a newly erected 16,000 square foot facility Located at 3181 Destrehan Ave Harvey LA has come to fruition. Phase two of the vision for construction for the Philadelphia Ministries Campus is forthcoming.

Bishop Daniel is known both locally and nationally through his radio and television outreach broadcast namely “The Refreshing Word”. During his years of ministry, his ministerial gift has drawn many to the kingdom of God.
Through his teaching, preaching and shepherding, Bishop Daniel has birthed many sons and daughters in the gospel that have been elevated to become pastors across many states including Oklahoma, Florida, Virginia, Texas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Many lives have been changed, delivered, inspired and saved by the power of God through the teachings of the honorable Bishop James E Daniel.
