About Us

Church History

In May of 2012, Missionaries Ken and Sherry Trivette came to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Shortly after arriving, the Pine Ridge Baptist Church was established and organized. Our purpose is to show the love of Christ as we serve and minister to the Oglala Lakota Sioux of the Reservation. Along with regular services for the people, the Church ministers to the people assisting in many of the needs of the people.

Missionaries Ken and Sherry Trivette are both natives of Boone, North Carolina. Pastor Trivette attended Tennessee Temple Bible College (1974-1977). After pastoring churches in Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee, the Trivette’s left the church where they had served for over 22 years in Chattanooga, Tennessee to give their lives to serve and minister to Native America. They serve as missionaries through Anchor Baptist Missions, Pisgah Forest, North Carolina.
