The May Pen Assembly in Clarendon Jamaica West Indies began when Sister Johnson, who resided in England for a time, returned to Jamaica. On her return, she along with other persons from her community in Seven Heights, attended services at Headquarters, 20 East Road, where she previously worshipped.
Eventually, she spoke with Overseer, Pastor Hixroy Joseph Waugh and invited him to visit the community with a view to starting evangelistic work. He consented and on September 21, 2000, he sent brethren from Headquarters to conduct church services in a temporary structure. As the services were held, the numbers increased, and the need arose for an improved place of worship.
God continued to move in a mysterious way, and provided a couple, Mr. and Mrs. Campbell, who had a plot of land with a church on it which they willingly donated to the service of the LORD. This building was refurbished and in the year 2002, worship services began in the renovated structure.
The Church is currently being led by Evangelist Dennis Wright.
