The Latium Assembly, located in St James, Jamaica West Indies, began in the year 1966 in the house of Sister Florence Allen and family after she had received the Sabbath Message, through her son Brother Kenly Spence who had been a member at 20 East Road. She was then joined by Sister Phyllis Davis and her family, the Brackett’s family, and other families in the community.
As time went by, a temporary building was erected at Salters Hill, and although they were mocked by the people because of the informality of the structure, they were not discouraged but continued to worship God wholeheartedly with the support of brethren from Headquarters.
In 1973 the Church was removed on a Lease Agreement to a spot in Latium, and then to its own property in 1991.
The Church under the leadership of Pastor Trevor Hyde supported by Evangelist Glenville Thompson, continues to magnify God for His guidance over the years, and for the many souls who have been added.
