At 11th Street, we are committed to following the Bible as our guide in religious and life matters. Sunday Worship Service:
When you are planning a visit with us, there are several things that you can expect during our worship. (Morning Worship watch live at 10:00 a.m.)
Singing – We lift our voices together to glorify God in songs. Eph 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
Prayer – We approach the throne of God to praise and honor Him, to thank Him for the blessings, and to pray for the needs of others and ourselves. I Thess 5:17-18 17Pray without ceasing. 18 In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Communion – Every Sunday, we partake of the Lord’s Supper to remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. Jesus said in 1 Cor 11:24 this do in remembrance of me.
Giving – We collect a weekly offering from our members, giving the Lord the blessings He has given us. 1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come. 2 Cor 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
Preaching – During our worship service, we hear a message from God’s Word – the Gospel – The Good News. 1 Cor 1:21 it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. Also, in 2 Tim 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
