Bishop Donald L. Smith a native of Black Mountain N.C. and younger Son of Lonnie and Louise Smith. Married 53 years to the Former Meredith Dianne Spencer. He is also the father of two adult children, Jerry and Unita Smith. He is an accomplished Teacher, Evangelist, Singer, Song- writer, Pastor, and Preacher. He is currently the Senior Pastor of Greater Mount Calvary Christian Church (Two Locations: Manassas and Catharpin), President, Founder and CEO of The Whole Truth Ministries, Inc., Director of the Richmond Virginia Seminary-WTM Bible Institute, and Principal of Sunbeam Christian Preschool and Academy, in Manassas, Virginia.

In September of 1984 Bishop Smith accepted his call into the gospel ministry while at the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, in Triangle Virginia where Dr. Frederick S. Jones served as Senior Pastor. Faithfully serving as an Evangelist, Choir Director, and Minister of Singles he was licensed in December of 1985, served faithfully as an itinerant Pastor of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Shenandoah, Virginia and was later called and ordained as the Pastor of Mount Calvary Baptist Church, Catharpin, Virginia in June of 1990. Shortly after seeing the Vision and great potential of Mount Calvary, Bishop was led to resign from his job to take on the call of a full time Pastorate without full time benefits truly believing and trusting God to make a way.

In June 1992 the Church transitioned from Catharpin to Manassas, Virginia into the present facilities.
In May of 1995 Bishop Smith earned “Two Bachelor’s degrees from the Richmond Virginia Seminary, in Richmond Virginia. He was awarded a Bachelor of Theology and a Bachelor of Religious Studies. A year later in May of 1996, he received a Masters Degree in Theology. May of 1997, he was awarded a Doctorate of Divinity Degree from this prestigious institution of religious learning. Bishop has also studied at Washington Bible College in Lanham, MD and Liberty University of Lynchburg, Virginia.

In August 1998 Bishop was ordained and consecrated as a Bishop of Finance and Foreign Affairs by the Presiding prelate Bishop D. Lee Owens and Ecclesia International, Ministry Inc. of Chapel Oaks, Maryland. Bishop Smith was led by the Spirit to enter into covenant agreement with the Bishop’s Circle a spiritual covering and Pastor’s mentoring ministry of Bishop T.D. Jakes, of Dallas, Texas.

In early part of 2001 after much anticipation Bishop Smith released his first publication, “It’s Just a Matter of Time”. A treatise of encouragement and practical initiatives concerning god’s timing and man’s purpose as it relates to destiny.

In April 2015 Bishop Smith was awarded an Extraordinary Award of Merit, Excellence, Diversity and Public Service-” Northern Virginia’s Man of The Year” Lifetime Achievement Award by the Dr. Harry Ross Promotions and Ministries in Atlanta Georgia.
