Our Mission is to assist as many as possible to accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Jesus said come unto me , all ye that labour and are heavy laden , and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 And The Spirit and The Bride say Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst Come. And whosoever will, let him take The Water of Iife freely. Revelation 22:17
Our mission is to teach the word of God, the Bible, with the anointing of The Holy Spirit so that any and everyone can be empowered to live for Jesus Christ. We hope that many will believe and accept Jesus Christ in our hearts. It is important to understand that regardless of how we have lived our lives, God loves us and will accept us just as we are. Therefore, we are Blessed with eternal life.
Jesus Christ was the greatest teacher and preacher of all. The mission of the Philadelphia Church of God is to teach, preach, and spread His Gospel.
The most important thing in our lives is to be saved. We don’t have to work for salvation; it is a gift from God.
1. All we have to do is believe that Jesus came here to save us; He died for us; He rose from the grave and
now lives for us.
2. We must repent (acknowledge our sins and ask for forgiveness) and
3 . We must forgive all that have sinned against
us. We should maintain an attitude of forgiveness.
Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Ephesians 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.
Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, that your sins may be blotted out, when the time of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Matthews 6:14,15
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Jesus’ final night begins with supper with the twelve apostles. They ate a light meal and then it was followed by Jesus breaking unleavened bread and giving it to the twelve to eat. Jesus then said ” Take, eat; this is my body Matt, 26:26
Jesus then took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the new testsment, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.Matt. 26: 27,28
Then He put a towel around himself and proceeded to wash the disciples feet to show His humility and the cleanliness of the heart.
Jesus causions that we should do the Holy Communion and Feet Washing often in remembrance of Him. I Cor. 11:26
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till He come.
Jesus told Peter, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me. John 13:8
When one accepts Christ in their life, The Baptism is in order. The old man, which is sin, is taken down into the liquid grave and come up a new person in Christ, Col. 3: 9-10. The old man is crucified and we, therefore, no longer serve sin, Romans 6:6. When the new person emerges, old things of the flesh are passed away and we become a new person with our heart, mind, and spirit set on Christ. II Corinthians 5:17; Eph. 4:24
Baptism is not to be taken lightly.
We become bounded to Christ. Matthews 18:18 lets us know that whatever is bound on earth is also bound in Heaven and whatever is loose on earth shall be loose in Heaven.
God wants us to support His church with tithes and offerings.
2 Corinthians 9:6,7 says
“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soeth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity; for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
“Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over…” Luke 6:38
The giving of tithes is giving ten percent of whatever you receive, your income, to God for the use of His work. Tithes are given throughout the old and new testament. “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.” Malachi 3:8
